Our Ethics

We are committed to providing high-quality vegan botanical skin care, herbal remedies and self care items without compromising our values. While we believe there is no ethical consumption under capitalism, we strive to ensure our products do not promote exploitative environmental or labor practices. As descendants of European settler-colonizers living on unceded Chinook lands, we are aware of some of the harmful practices white herbalists engage in and we are actively working to decolonize herbalism within our community. We understand that some plants are especially sacred to Indigenous peoples. Among these are red ceder, tobacco, sweetgrass and white sage. We do not use these plants in our product offerings. Instead, we look to cultivate relationship with plant allies that our part of our own ancestral European lineages.

The herbs we use in our products are all ethically sourced. Many are are purchased from local farmers and some are harvested directly from our own garden! We use certified organic herbs and essential oils when possible and never use GMO or plants that have been sprayed with chemical pesticides or non-biological fertilizers. We do not use wildcrafted plants in our creations.  We do not use endangered plants in any of our products nor do we use anything made from or tested on animals.
